A stepping stone to a medical career

 

We take a maximum of 10 course participants every 3 months.  The next available course commences on 1st of January 2016.

 

We provide you with certificates after doing each online module and, following an assessment, to prove satisfactory completion of our course, a certificate is issued at the end of the three month course.

 

This course is not a university degree.  You will not be qualified to treat patients.

 

The total course costs $5000 in Australian Dollars, and goes for 3 months.

 

You will need a computer with good internet access, and a webcam.

Access to a desktop computer is ideal, or a tablet device (a smart phone is too small).  The cost of this equipment is not included in the price of the course.

 

Once you pay your deposit of $1000 you will be booked into the course.  If for some reason you change your mind and do not want to do the course you cannot get the $1000 refunded.

 

The other $4000 needs to be paid by the 1st of January.  This money is non-refundable even if you change your mind and decide not to complete the course.

 

You must not share your password to the online modules with anyone else.  Once the course is completed your access to our eLearning site will be terminated.  However during the course you will have been provided with many links to other learning resources.  You will always have plenty to do.

 

If you need any ongoing support, and I have some time, we may be able to respond to emails even when the course has been completed provided it doesn't become too time-consuming.

 

Once the full amount has been paid, you will have access to all the eLearning modules on the first of January.  You need to complete at least one online module a week.  You can do more than one a week if you like.  There will be at least an hour of online face to face tuition every week, where the content of the online learning modules will be discussed, and any other issues you have can be discussed at the same time.  There will also be some role playing.

 

Assessment will be online during the video-conferencing sessions.

 

There will be online tuition as well as elearning modules, and there may be group online learning activities during the course.

BEFORE YOU START THE COURSE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:-

 

1. A computer, laptop or tablet device with internet access.
2. Good internet speed (for our video conferencing tutorials)
3. A webcam and microphone.
4. A basic knowledge of the English language.
5. An interest in medicine.
